on 4th of August, 2020 the most powerful non-nuclear explosion on record detonated in the port of Beirut. Causing at least 218 deaths, 7,000 injuries and $15 Billion USD in property damage, as well as leaving 300,000 people homeless. This march was also to express the anger towards the corruption with their government and Hezbollah who were behind the accident. People wanted answers, followed with prosecution as this disaster could have been avoided. The march started off peaceful but over time the anger rouse while the sun set, concussion grenades and tear-gas were used to disperse the angry crowds but this was just retaliated with rocks, fireworks, Molotov cocktails and chants. The government grounds were breached but no one entered the building. As soon as the sun set the crowds dispersed and regrouped the following day.
