On the 5th of September 2019 outside Parliament, Cape Town, Grew a crowed of tens of thousands of angry, passionate protesters demanding answers and change when it comes to germicide and gender-based violence in South Africa. The murder of a University of Cape Town student Uyinene Mrwetyana, who's body was found a week before the protests, sparked a country wide outcry of "enough is enough" and "am I next". Women of all ages took to the front and led the march whilst the men took a supportive but quieter backseat approach. In the end President Cyril Ramaphosa addressed the crowed at the end of the protest.
